DEI Consultant, Illuceo
Illuceo, a DEI consultancy founded by Lauren Aguilar, is looking to bring on a DEI consultant to help shape the future of the company and its clients.

- In this role you’ll work collaboratively with a growing team of 5+ “core” team members and a “connected network” of 10+ consultant contractors as project support. You will be responsible for lifting the insights from the science and pulling from your own consulting and business experience to guide and uplevel clients around DEI.
- This is a great opportunity for someone who has only 1-3 years of work experience but also has a deep understanding of all aspects of DEI.

Job Description:
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consultant will work collaboratively on the Illuceo team as a consultant and project support. This position will play a pivotal role in helping Illuceo scale up to meet the increasing demand for strategy, workshop facilitation, assessment, coaching, and design of DEI tools and products. Illuceo’s ultimate goal is to 1) provide excellent science-based and data-driven DEI consulting services that prioritize impact 2) foster strong relationships with clients built on trust, accountability, and clarity 3) to become the premier DEI firm in the world. In this role, you will collaborate on new product development and will have voice and influence on Illuceo’s brand, product, and culture.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
Contributing to and supporting deliverables. Will report directly on projects to a project lead/manager.
Maintain positive client relations/management with clear communication, alignment on scope and a supportive, warm interaction style.
Using scientific savvy and a data-driven approach to DEI. Candidate will have at least a basic understanding of the social and behavioral science behind DEI, the ability to communicate that knowledge, and to translate it into actionable strategy for clients.
Drive business development, including sales meetings with prospective clients, writing proposals, creating project definition and statements of work, and managing client communications
DEI strategy, product, and tool design. Design tailored, often novel and bespoke, evidence-based solutions for Illuceo’s clients.
Clear, concise report writing for culture assessments, full employee lifecycle assessments, survey reports, etc.
Clear, actionable, effective strategy design and report outs to clients. DEI strategy design based on scientific principles, professional experience, and data.
Data results interpretation and translation into a clear narrative. Working with Illuceo’s data scientist to derive insights from quantitative and qualitative client data.
Facilitation for workshops like Beyond Unconscious Bias, Habits of Highly Inclusive Managers, Allyship, Microaggressions. Facilitate with a depth of knowledge, pull from consulting/DEI experience, and lead with expertise, humility, and heart.
Workshop design, build-out, and improvement.
Focus group and interview design and facilitation. Survey design.
Proactively contribute to product and process improvement. For example, create and identify improvements to existing product templates. Read and interpret scientific research (e.g. peer-reviewed journal articles)
Contribute to Illuceo’s thought leadership (e.g. blog posts and speaking engagements)
Requirements:
1+ years past experience in one or more of the following areas: DEI team within an organization, consulting, DEI consulting, DEI or consulting startup.
1+ years experience in public speaking and workshop facilitation.
Demonstrated ability to manage through ambiguity and competing priorities. Ability to work with ambiguity and lack of structure and create structure and clarity in client work and in internal processes that are in development.
Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills.
Collaborative work style - team player with high integrity and growth mindset. Reliable, honest, and highly communicative team member who works well in a collaborative, inclusive team environment.
Passion for and interest in DEI preferred
BA/BS degree required. Higher education degree (e.g. MA/MS or PhD) preferred.
